Geoffrey Rockwell at the University of Verona

Dr. Geoffrey Rockwell is finishing up three months as a Visiting Professor at the University of Verona. While there he lectured on Text Editing and Analytics in the Digital Humanities and Why the Digital Humanities Matter. He also ran a seminar for PhD students on Ethics and Big Data that made the case for the voice of the humanities in discussions around data and analytics. This seminar culminated with a half-day conference titled “Final Conference Del Laboratorio Di Informatics Umanistica.” While in Italy he participated in a panel at the Presentation of Paolo Sordi’s book “Bloggo con WordPress dunque sono” at Roma Tre  and another panel at the Presentation of “The Digital Humanist”, also at Roma Tre.
